Consumers are still planning to make cutbacks, but since our last survey there has been a positive shift in sentiment across all categories when it comes to reducing spend.
Categories where consumers will cut back in the next three months
Cutting back on eating and drinking out is the top priority for cutting back when it comes to non-essential spending with 35% of consumers saying they will do so.
Consumers are placing greater value on the areas that enhance their life and wellbeing, with products for children and pets and fitness activities the last things consumers will cut back on.
